The Glory of God

In his letter to Timothy, Paul asserts that God dwells in unapproachable light and mortal men cannot look upon Him.

“I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ’s appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power.”  1 Timothy 6:13-16, NKJV

Furthermore, Revelation tells of a city inhabited by God that requires no sun or moon because the glory of God illuminates it instead!

“The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it.”  Revelation 21:23, NKJV

Thinking on these things brought to mind a random thought that took my breath away and changed my perspective on the immensity of God’s glory.  The thought was this:

What if the sun is just a small beam of God’s glory shining through a window pane of heaven?

  1. Jesus is a Judaified reselling of the story of the popular Roman sun god Mithra. This is why Christianity is saturated with pagan themes. Sunday after all is not the Abrahamic day of rest, instead it’s the Roman day of worship of the Sun! You need to go beyond your brainwashing! 😳

    1. Robert, thanks for reading my post! The old me would respond out of emotion and attempt to convince you that I am right and you are wrong. However, if you are an atheist, I will not argue for the existence of God since you already know this to be true (Romans 1:18-23). I do, however, further demonstrate His existence and the saving power of Jesus Christ throughout my blog through my personal testimony, the testimony of others, and God’s faithfulness in prayer. You see, my faith goes way beyond a simple brainwashing, since my whole being has been washed in the saving blood of Jesus Christ (Matthew 26:28; 1 John 1:7-9). I would be more than happy to discuss this further. In the meantime, if you have a specific prayer request, please let me know as well. Take care. 🙂

      1. Not believing in Jesus doesn’t make someone an atheist, it would just make him correct! Jesus never existed! 😊
