In previous posts, I briefly mention my mother’s battle with Stage IV cervical cancer. Although I have not discussed her ordeal in great detail, a recent discussion with a friend about her sibling’s battle with the same illness brought my mother’s testimony to mind, which is provided in the link below. I pray that her testimony brings comfort, peace, and hope to many who read it. As she says in the article:
“People don’t want to look in a spiritual mirror and see where their faith is lacking, but we all need to do a spiritual inventory and seek God. Psalm 103 says, ‘Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit, and crowns you with love and compassion.’ We need to put our faith in what God says instead of just accepting what the doctor says, for only God has the last word.”
- A special thanks to the author of this article, Robin Lewis, for taking the time to tell my mother’s story.
