Hello, and welcome to my blog!  My name is Jason Todd, and I wanted to start a blog to share my theological thoughts with the world.  To me, knowing God in the fullness of His attributes and Spirit should be the most important aspect of our brief lives, and with this knowledge comes the understanding of everything else.  Most of what I post will be my personal theological thoughts, as well as reflections on various passages of Scripture that I encounter during my daily devotional reading.  Other posts will include thoughts and words placed in my spirit by Holy Spirit as He leads, and my intent is to be led by the Spirit in all things.  While this blog is intended to generate respectful discussion, I would ask that all arguments be supported by Scripture, since the Bible is the standard by which all ideas are measured.

Personally, I grew up on both a Pentecostal pew and in a Spirit-filled home, where daily demonstrations of all His wondrous gifts were commonplace and the presence of God was felt on many occasions.  Every get-together and family gathering always turned into a worship service where the freedom of Holy Spirit flowed like a breeze and Jesus was glorified as Savior and King!  This is still a regular occurrence, and I earnestly look forward to each and every one still today.  Such a strong spiritual heritage laid the foundation of my faith, which I treasure more and more each day.

Professionally, I have been a Soldier for over 22 years, and my profession has helped shape my Christian worldview as well.  As such, the motto of my blog is a reference to the old Christian hymn, Onward Christian Soldiers, and my URL is a reference to 2 Timothy 2:3, which states,

“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

Thanks for visiting my blog, and I pray that it blesses and encourages you as you press onward with Christ!

Onward!–2 Timothy 2:3
